Job Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of feed plant machinery, including Pellet Mills, Vertical Pulverizers, Mixers, Bucket Elevators, Conveyors, Crumblers, Plansifters, and other mechanical equipment.
- Attend emergency machine breakdowns and perform repairs to restore production with minimum downtime.
- Dismantle, inspect, repair, and assemble electrical motors, gearboxes, bearings, couplings, shafts, and other rotating equipment.
- Perform replacement of bearings, seals, chains, sprockets, belts, and other mechanical components.
- Reassemble equipment after maintenance, start machines, and observe their mechanical operation to ensure proper functioning and efficiency.
- Diagnose equipment faults, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Carry out routine inspection, lubrication, alignment, and condition monitoring of plant machinery.
- Coordinate with the Production and Electrical Maintenance teams to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
- Maintain maintenance records and report equipment abnormalities to the Maintenance Engineer.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, permit systems, and good housekeeping practices.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in maintenance of feed plant machinery.
- Good knowledge of gearboxes, bearings, motors, conveyors, elevators, and power transmission systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical failures independently.
- Experience in equipment dismantling, assembly, alignment, and overhauling.
- Basic understanding of welding and fabrication is an added advantage.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts and attend emergency breakdowns.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- ITI (Fitter / Mechanical) with 4–5 years of relevant experience in an Aqua Feed, Poultry Feed, Animal Feed, or similar manufacturing industry.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with a strong commitment to safety and maintenance excellence.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
