Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physiotherapist to join our team, providing high-quality physiotherapy services to patients both in their homes and at our clinic. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, the ability to work independently, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical conditions, including musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary systems.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on clinical diagnosis and patient goals.
- Treatment and Rehabilitation:
- Administer appropriate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other modalities to improve patient mobility, strength, and function.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, home programs, and lifestyle modifications to support recovery and prevent further injury.
- Home Visits:
- Travel to patients' homes to provide physiotherapy services, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for treatment.
- Adapt treatment plans and exercises to suit home settings and patient needs.
- Clinic Duties:
- Conduct physiotherapy sessions at the clinic, utilizing equipment and facilities to enhance patient care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the clinic to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers regarding patient progress and any necessary adjustments to care plans.
- Professional Development:
- Stay current with advancements in physiotherapy practices and techniques through continuing education and professional development activities.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and other collaborative activities to enhance patient care and clinic operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid physiotherapy license in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Strong knowledge of physiotherapy principles, techniques, and modalities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for home visits.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in conducting physical assessments and developing treatment plans.
- Skill in various physiotherapy techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and use of modalities.
- Ability to motivate and encourage patients to adhere to treatment plans and exercises.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Working Conditions:
- Combination of in-clinic and in-home patient visits.
- May require lifting, transferring, and positioning patients.
- Flexible schedule may be necessary to accommodate patient needs.
