MKK Metal Sections is a leading steel products manufacturer and integrated steel solution provider headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India with tow world-class manufacturing facilities in Ranipet, Tamil Nadu. The company was founded in 2008 and has since grown into one of South India’s largest and most trusted steel products producers.
With over a production capacity of 500,000 metric tons per year, the company has crossed a turnover of ₹1000cr in 2026 and is targeting a growth to 1500 Crs. in FY 2027. The company is preparing itself for an IPO. The company employs 720 employees at the corporate and plants and has sales offices in Mumbai, Bangalore.
MKK serves a wide spectrum of sectors including construction, transportation, energy, warehousing, and infrastructure. It is exporting Pipes and Tubes to various countries in Europe and to USA. The state-of-the-art manufacturing plants in Ranipet are equipped with multiple tube and cold-forming mills, as well as a high-capacity hot dip galvanising facility capable of processing long steel structures. Product offering includes,
· ERW steel pipes and tubes in circular, square, rectangular, hexagonal and octagonal sections
· Galvanised tubes, sections and structures with in-house galvanising capability
· Structural steel products such as purlins, shutters, colour-coated roofing sheets
· Solar module mounting structures and renewable energy support products
· Warehouse racking systems and pallet racks
· Metal crash barriers and other specialised cold-formed steel sections
1. Role Purpose
The Head – Sales & Marketing will be responsible for driving the company’s revenue growth, customer acquisition, and market expansion strategy, with a strong focus on sales leadership (70–80%) and strategic marketing (20–30%). The role will lead the sales organization, build strong customer relationships across key sectors, expand the company’s market presence, and work closely with production and leadership teams to align sales growth with manufacturing capabilities.

3. Key Responsibilities
A. Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth (70–80% Focus)
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across key industries.
- Build and manage relationships with large B2B customers, EPC contractors, and industrial clients.
- Drive key account management and long-term customer partnerships.
- Lead sales forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue planning.
- Expand market share across existing and new geographies.
- Work closely with production and supply chain teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor industry trends, pricing dynamics, and competitor activities.
B. Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify high-growth sectors and strategic market opportunities.
- Develop new distribution channels and strategic partnerships.
- Expand the company’s presence in infrastructure, renewable energy, transportation, and manufacturing sectors.
- Represent the company in industry events, trade forums, and major client discussions.
C. Marketing Strategy & Brand Positioning (20–30% Focus)
- Develop and implement marketing strategies that support sales growth.
- Strengthen the company’s brand presence in the steel and manufacturing sector.
- Lead product positioning, market research, and industry campaigns.
- Support sales teams with marketing collateral, lead generation, and market insights.
- Manage participation in trade exhibitions and industry forums.
D. Customer Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with key clients, project developers, EPC companies, and industrial buyers.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Lead commercial negotiations and major contract discussions.
- Resolve major customer issues and escalations.
E. Sales Operations & Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor sales and marketing teams across regions.
- Implement sales performance metrics and reporting systems.
- Drive sales capability development and training programs.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams on pricing strategy and profitability management.

5. Ideal Candidate Qualification
- B.E. or BTech with MBA or PGDM in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management
Experience
- 15 years of experience in sales, business development, and market expansion
- Strong background in B2B sales within steel, metals, manufacturing, or industrial sectors
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strategic customer relationships
- Managing sales teams and regional markets
- Dealing with EPC contractors, infrastructure companies, and industrial buyers
