Position Summary
Mind & Brain Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Nursing Supervisor to oversee nursing operations, ensure high standards of patient care, supervise nursing staff, and maintain compliance with hospital policies and clinical protocols. The Nursing Supervisor will play a key role in coordinating nursing services, staff development, and quality improvement initiatives within the hospital.
Key ResponsibilitiesNursing Operations & Patient Care
- Supervise and coordinate daily nursing activities across inpatient and outpatient units.
- Ensure delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered nursing care.
- Monitor patient care practices and ensure adherence to established nursing standards.
- Conduct regular ward rounds and assess the quality of nursing services.
- Support nursing staff in managing complex patient care situations.
Staff Supervision & Management
- Supervise, guide, and evaluate nursing staff performance.
- Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate staffing levels for all shifts.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, leave management, and shift handovers.
- Mentor and support newly recruited nurses and trainees.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Clinical Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure accurate and timely nursing documentation.
- Monitor compliance with hospital policies, nursing protocols, and accreditation standards.
- Ensure proper medication administration practices and documentation.
- Report and investigate incidents, medication errors, and patient safety concerns.
Training & Development
- Organize orientation programs for new nursing staff.
- Conduct regular in-service education, training sessions, and competency assessments.
- Promote continuous professional development among nursing personnel.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement activities.
Multidisciplinary Coordination
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in case discussions, departmental meetings, and patient care planning.
- Facilitate effective communication between nursing staff and other departments.
Infection Control & Safety
- Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control protocols.
- Monitor hygiene, patient safety, and environmental cleanliness within nursing areas.
- Ensure emergency equipment and supplies are functional and readily available.
- Promote workplace safety and risk management practices.
Quality Assurance
- Monitor patient satisfaction and nursing care quality indicators.
- Participate in hospital accreditation and quality initiatives.
- Recommend and implement improvements in nursing services and patient care processes.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the State Nursing Council.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience.
- At least 1–2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in Psychiatry, Mental Health, Neurosciences, or Hospital Administration will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
