Job Purpose
To teach Social Studies to students of Classes VI to X as per the CBSE curriculum, fostering critical thinking, historical understanding, geographical awareness, and civic responsibility while creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics as per CBSE guidelines.
- Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, worksheets, and teaching aids.
- Complete the syllabus within the prescribed academic timelines.
- Conduct assessments, assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify learning gaps and conduct remedial classes when required.
- Integrate technology and activity-based learning into classroom teaching.
- Maintain student records, attendance, and academic documentation.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and communicate student progress.
- Support school activities, competitions, field trips, and co-curricular programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in training and professional development programs.
- Ensure discipline, student safety, and a positive classroom environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in History/Geography/Political Science or related field.
- B.Ed. is mandatory.
- Master's Degree in a relevant subject is preferred.
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school preferred.
Skills Required
- Strong subject knowledge of CBSE Social Studies curriculum.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Classroom, and digital teaching tools.
- Ability to create interactive and student-centered learning experiences.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: School Campus- pallikarnai 9& 10 , Mugalivakkam 6 to 8 ,
Salary: As per school norms and experience.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹36,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Pallikaranai, Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
