Role Description
We are looking for a highly experienced Operations Head to lead and oversee the complete operations of our Heavy Engineering, Structural Fabrication, and PEB division. This leadership role requires a professional with extensive experience in fabrication, production planning, project execution, quality control, and operational management.
The Operations Head will be responsible for setting up operational systems, managing production schedules, optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards, coordinating with engineering and procurement teams, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership capabilities and hands-on experience in managing large-scale structural fabrication and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the complete operations of the Heavy Engineering, Structural Fabrication, and PEB division.
- Plan, organize, and supervise fabrication, manufacturing, and project execution activities.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
- Manage production planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
- Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, quality, dispatch, and project execution teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure timely execution and delivery of fabrication and structural steel projects.
- Monitor production targets, manpower utilization, machine capacity, and overall operational performance.
- Establish and maintain quality control procedures in line with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Oversee material planning, inventory management, and coordination with procurement for timely material availability.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, operational procedures, and statutory regulations.
- Manage project costs, monitor budgets, and implement cost-control measures.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and mentor production and operations teams.
- Collaborate with the sales and project teams to ensure smooth project handovers and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare operational reports, MIS, KPIs, and management dashboards for senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in operations, production, or project execution within Heavy Engineering, Structural Steel Fabrication, PEB, Industrial Construction, or EPC projects.
- Proven experience in managing fabrication workshops, structural steel manufacturing, and project execution.
- Strong understanding of heavy fabrication processes, welding, machining, structural assembly, and steel manufacturing.
- Experience in production planning, capacity planning, manpower management, and operational optimization.
- Sound knowledge of quality assurance, safety standards, and manufacturing best practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, planning, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience in coordinating with engineering, procurement, production, quality, and project teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting delivery timelines.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and production reporting tools is preferred.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and customer locations as required.
