Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and student-focused Student Counsellor to guide prospective and existing students regarding academic programs, admissions, and career pathways. The role involves handling inbound and outbound calls, counselling walk-in students, and providing accurate information in English, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls from students and parents regarding courses, admissions, fees, and schedules
- Provide one-to-one counselling to walk-in students at the office
- Explain academic programs, eligibility criteria, admission process, and career outcomes clearly
- Maintain proper records of enquiries, follow-ups, and student data in CRM or registers
- Conduct follow-up calls to convert enquiries into admissions
- Coordinate with academic and administrative teams for smooth admissions processing
- Assist students with application forms, documentation, and basic verification
- Maintain a professional, friendly, and welcoming environment for visitors
- Achieve monthly counselling and enrolment targets
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Communication skills in English and Kannada or Malayalam
- Strong interpersonal and counselling skills
- Ability to confidently handle phone calls and face-to-face interactions
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, email, CRM tools preferred)
- Good listening skills and a student-centric approach
Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in academic counselling, education, training institutes, or customer support
- Freshers with strong communication skills may also apply
