ob Summary: A Primary School Teacher plans, prepares, and delivers engaging lessons that help students develop literacy, numeracy, critical thinking, and social skills. They create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment while monitoring student progress and working closely with parents and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver lessons in line with the curriculum.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Assess, record, and report on students' academic progress and behaviour.
Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Prepare learning materials and classroom activities.
Maintain classroom discipline and ensure student safety.
Encourage students' personal, social, and emotional development.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress.
Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events.
Support school policies and contribute to the overall school community.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
Valid teaching certification or license (as required by the country).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent classroom management abilities.
Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for teaching.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
Working Conditions:
Typically works during school hours, Monday to Friday.
