Job Summary
The Trainee – Quality Control is responsible for assisting the Quality Control team in ensuring that raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods meet the company's quality and food safety standards. The trainee will learn and support quality inspection, testing, documentation, hygiene monitoring, and compliance activities while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Hygiene Practices (GHP), and food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the inspection of incoming raw materials and packaging materials.
- Support in-process quality checks during production.
- Conduct visual inspections of finished products for quality, weight, appearance, taste, texture, and packaging.
- Record quality inspection results accurately in prescribed formats.
- Assist in collecting samples for laboratory analysis and retain sample management.
- Monitor production hygiene, sanitation, and housekeeping practices.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GHP, HACCP, and company quality standards.
- Report quality deviations or non-conformities to the QC Executive or Manager.
- Support calibration and maintenance of quality testing equipment.
- Verify product labeling, coding, and packaging accuracy.
- Participate in internal audits and food safety inspections.
- Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain quality records and documentation as per company requirements.
- Follow all food safety, health, and workplace safety procedures.
- Perform other quality-related duties assigned by the reporting manager.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience are preferred.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of food quality standards and food safety.
- Understanding of GMP, GHP, HACCP, and hygiene practices.
- Good observation and analytical skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel and MS Word).
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to learn quickly and work as part of a team.

Working Conditions
