Position Overview
The Science Resource Person will serve as the anchor for the Undergraduate Science Educator’s (USE) Network, an initiative by Azim Premji University to establish and support a Community of Practice in undergraduate science education in India. The role focuses on coordinating network-building activities, supporting pedagogical innovation, developing shared resources, and facilitating collaboration among science educators.
Responsibilities:

Community of Practice

Coordinate and facilitate regular monthly meetings of USE network faculty.

Support sharing of best practices, challenges, and innovative teaching approaches.

Foster sustained engagement and collaboration across institutions.

Digital Resources
-
Lead development and maintenance of the USE Network website.

Curate a repository of teaching resources and pedagogical materials.

Publish highlights of teaching experiences, ongoing initiatives, and scholarly contributions.

Disseminate USE network activities, and pedagogical materials across undergraduate colleges/universities.

Professional Fellowships

Support fellows in developing and sharing teaching innovations.

Educational Resources

Work closely with science and math faculty to develop pedagogical material.

Coordinate development of context-specific, low-cost teaching materials for undergraduate mathematics and science.

Pilot, tinker, refine, disseminate these resources across institutions.
