The Cambridge Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of the Cambridge curriculum within the school. The role involves coordinating academic planning, ensuring compliance with Cambridge International standards, supporting teachers, managing examinations, and acting as the primary liaison between the school and Cambridge International.
Key Responsibilities1. Curriculum Planning & Implementation
- Coordinate the effective implementation of the Cambridge curriculum across relevant grades.
- Ensure curriculum delivery aligns with Cambridge International guidelines and learning objectives.
- Develop academic calendars, schemes of work, and assessment schedules in collaboration with department heads.
- Monitor curriculum progression and recommend improvements where necessary.
2. Academic Leadership
- Support and mentor teachers in curriculum planning, teaching methodologies, and assessment practices.
- Organize professional development workshops and training sessions related to Cambridge programs.
- Facilitate collaborative planning meetings and sharing of best practices among faculty.
3. Assessment & Examination Management
- Coordinate internal and external Cambridge assessments and examinations.
- Ensure compliance with Cambridge examination regulations, policies, and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of student registrations, results, and academic performance.
- Analyze examination outcomes and prepare reports for school leadership.
4. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure the school adheres to Cambridge International standards and policies.
- Coordinate school inspections, audits, and accreditation-related activities.
- Maintain curriculum documentation, policies, and records required by Cambridge International.
5. Student & Parent Engagement
- Guide students regarding Cambridge pathways, subject choices, and academic expectations.
- Conduct orientation sessions and workshops for parents on the Cambridge curriculum and assessment system.
- Address academic queries related to Cambridge programs.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education or relevant subject area (preferred).
- Cambridge International Certificate/Diploma in Teaching and Learning (preferred).
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in a Cambridge curriculum school.
- At least 2 years of experience in an academic coordination or leadership role preferred.
