Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using Siemens NX.
- Create accurate 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, and assembly drawings.
- Develop tooling, fixtures, gauges, and manufacturing aids.
- Perform Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Prepare BOMs, engineering documentation, and revision control.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, and Customers for design-related activities.
- Modify existing designs based on engineering changes (ECN/ECR).
- Support prototype development, testing, and product validation.
- Optimize designs for cost, quality, manufacturability, and performance.
- Resolve production issues through engineering improvements.
- Maintain engineering standards and documentation.
- Mentor junior design engineers and review design quality.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Siemens NX (Modeling, Assembly, Drafting, Sheet Metal, Surface Modeling).
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience with tolerance stack-up and design validation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Machining, Casting, Forging, Fabrication, and Assembly.
- Understanding of engineering materials and manufacturing standards.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
