Position: EV Bike Mechanic – Ather Electric Vehicles
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate EV Bike Mechanic to join our Ather Electric Vehicle service team. The candidate will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Ather electric scooters while ensuring high standards of customer satisfaction and vehicle performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform periodic servicing and preventive maintenance of Ather EV bikes.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
- Repair or replace batteries, motors, controllers, chargers, wiring harnesses, and other EV components.
- Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) before vehicle delivery.
- Perform software updates and basic diagnostic tool operations.
- Test ride vehicles after repairs to ensure quality.
- Maintain service records, job cards, and workshop documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures while handling high-voltage EV components.
- Keep the workshop clean and maintain tools properly.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical, Electrical, or related trade.
- Experience: 1–3 years in Two-Wheeler Service (EV experience preferred).
- Freshers with relevant technical qualifications and strong mechanical knowledge may also apply.
- Valid Two-Wheeler Driving License is preferred.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of electric two-wheelers.
- Battery, motor, controller, and charger troubleshooting.
- Mechanical repair and servicing.
- Electrical diagnostics using basic tools.
- Good communication and customer handling skills.
- Team player with a willingness to learn new EV technologies. EV service technicians are typically expected to diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, perform preventive maintenance, and follow OEM safety procedures for high-voltage systems.
