Job Summary
The Senior Overseas Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing international suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement, timely delivery, and quality compliance. The role involves global vendor development, negotiation, import coordination, market analysis, and strategic sourcing activities to support business operations and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
· Identify and develop reliable overseas suppliers and manufacturers for required materials/products.
· Conduct global market research to evaluate pricing trends, product availability, and sourcing opportunities.
· Manage end-to-end overseas procurement processes including RFQs, quotation analysis, negotiation, purchase orders, and shipment follow-up.
· Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, Incoterms, and contractual agreements with international vendors.
· Coordinate with logistics, freight forwarders, and customs clearance teams to ensure timely import shipments.
· Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure long-term business partnerships.
· Monitor supplier performance based on quality, delivery timelines, responsiveness, and cost efficiency.
· Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, engineering, projects, warehouse, and finance for procurement planning and material requirements.
· Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and international trade regulations.
· Resolve sourcing and shipment-related issues including delays, quality concerns, shortages, or documentation discrepancies.
· Prepare sourcing reports, cost comparison sheets, supplier evaluations, and procurement analysis for management review.
· Support cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement in sourcing strategies.
· Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases in ERP systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or related field.
· Minimum 2-5 years of experience in overseas sourcing, international procurement, or supply chain operations.
· Strong knowledge of international sourcing markets and import/export procedures.
· Experience in supplier negotiation and vendor management.
· Familiarity with Incoterms, shipping documentation, customs regulations, and freight coordination.
· Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
· Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
· Experience in manufacturing, construction or engineering industries is an advantage.
Pay: ₹20,040.45 - ₹50,579.58 per month
