Roles & Responsibilities of an Admission Counsellor
- Counsel prospective students and parents regarding courses, curriculum, and career opportunities
- Handle inbound and outbound calls, follow-ups, and enquiries effectively
- Convert leads into admissions by guiding students through the decision-making process
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, enquiries, and admissions in CRM/ERP systems
- Provide detailed information about fee structure, scholarships, and payment plans
- Conduct campus tours and explain facilities to students and parents
- Follow up regularly with interested candidates to ensure conversion
- Coordinate with academic and operations teams for smooth onboarding of students
- Achieve monthly/quarterly admission targets and contribute to revenue goals
- Participate in promotional activities such as seminars, school visits, and events
- Handle objections and resolve queries or concerns professionally
- Assist in organizing admission drives, entrance exams, and counselling sessions
- Maintain strong relationships with students and parents for referrals and retention
- Stay updated on course offerings, competitors, and market trends
- Ensure excellent customer experience throughout the admission process
