Job description:
A Sales Team Leader is responsible for managing the telecalling or telesales team that generates leads, follows up with prospects, and converts them into customers—usually over phone calls.
Key Responsibilities of a Sales Team Leader
1. Team Management
- Manage and supervise the telecalling/telesales executives
- Allocate leads to team members
- Monitor daily calling performance
- Conduct regular team meetings
2. Lead Management
- Distribute fresh leads
- Ensure quick follow-ups with prospects
- Maintain lead records in ERP
3. Conversion Support
- Convert inquiries into site visits
- Coordinate with sales managers for site visit scheduling
- Ensure proper follow-up until booking
4. Performance Monitoring
- Track:
- Calls made
- Leads contacted
- Site visits generated
- Conversions
- Prepare daily and weekly reports
5. Training & Coaching
- Train telecallers on:
- Script handling
- Objection handling
- Product knowledge
- Customer communication
