Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure Maintenance
- Monitor and maintain hospital and college buildings, roads, drainage systems, boundary walls, and other civil structures.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify structural defects and maintenance requirements.
- Ensure timely repair of cracks, leakages, waterproofing issues, flooring, roofing, and masonry works.
- Maintain structural integrity of all campus facilities.
Project Management
- Plan, supervise, and execute renovation, expansion, and construction projects.
- Prepare project estimates, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost analyses, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
- Ensure projects are completed within approved timelines and budgets.
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Develop preventive maintenance schedules for civil infrastructure.
- Respond promptly to emergency civil maintenance requirements.
- Monitor quality of repair and maintenance works.
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Supervise contractors and outsourced civil maintenance teams.
- Verify work completion before approving contractor bills.
- Ensure contractors comply with safety standards and institutional policies.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with:
- National Building Code (NBC)
- Kerala Municipality/Panchayat Building Rules
- Fire & Safety norms
- NABH standards (Hospital)
- NMC requirements (Medical College)
- Pollution Control Board guidelines where applicable
Documentation
- Maintain records of:
- Civil maintenance activities
- Project progress reports
- Material consumption
- Contractor performance
- Drawings and layouts
- Asset modification records
Budget & Cost Control
- Prepare annual maintenance budgets.
- Monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
- Recommend cost-effective engineering solutions.
Safety
- Ensure safe work practices during civil works.
- Conduct site safety inspections.
- Coordinate with the HSE department for risk assessments.
- Ensure use of PPE by contractors.
Coordination
Coordinate with:

Emergency Responsibilities
- Attend emergency infrastructure failures.
- Coordinate restoration of damaged facilities.
- Support disaster management and emergency preparedness activities.
Qualification
Essential
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering
Preferred
- M.Tech in Civil Engineering
- AutoCAD certification
- Primavera/MS Project knowledge
- Quantity Surveying certification
Experience
- Junior Civil Engineer: 2–5 years of relevant experience.
- Senior Civil Engineer: Minimum 6–10 years of experience in hospitals, medical colleges, healthcare institutions, or large commercial projects.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
