Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Job Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for leading the company's financial strategy, planning, and management to ensure long-term financial sustainability and profitability. The CFO oversees finance, accounting, budgeting, taxation, statutory compliance, treasury, internal controls, project costing, and financial reporting while supporting strategic decision-making in shipbuilding, ship repair, and marine engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to management and the Board.
- Monitor project costing, profitability, and financial performance of shipbuilding and ship repair projects.
- Oversee accounting operations in compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with taxation, GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other financial regulations.
- Manage treasury operations, banking relationships, working capital, and fund utilization.
- Lead internal financial controls, risk management, and audit processes.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, banks, financial institutions, and government agencies.
- Support tender pricing, contract reviews, and commercial negotiations.
- Develop financial policies, SOPs, and internal control systems.
- Analyze financial risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide strategic financial advice to the CMD/CEO and senior management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounts team.
- Ensure timely payroll funding, vendor payments, statutory remittances, and financial reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Membership with the relevant professional accounting body.
Experience.
- Minimum 5–8 years in a senior leadership role such as Finance Head, General Manager (Finance), or CFO.
- Experience in Shipbuilding, Ship Repair, Marine Engineering, Offshore, Heavy Engineering, Manufacturing, or EPC industries is highly preferred.
- Strong exposure to project costing, contract accounting, budgeting, taxation, treasury, and corporate finance.
