Key Responsibilities of a Purchase Manager – Projects
- Procurement Planning
- Develop procurement strategies aligned with project schedules.
- Identify material, equipment, and service requirements for projects.
- Prepare procurement plans and timelines.
- Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers and contractors.
- Maintain relationships with approved vendors.
- Conduct vendor performance assessments.
- RFQ and Tendering Process
- Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and tenders.
- Analyze quotations and commercial proposals.
- Coordinate technical and commercial evaluations.
- Negotiation and Cost Control
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts.
- Achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor market trends and pricing.
- Purchase Order Management
- Prepare and issue purchase orders.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
- Track order status and follow up on deliveries.
- Project Coordination
- Work closely with project managers, engineering, planning, and site teams.
- Ensure timely procurement to support project milestones.
- Resolve procurement-related issues impacting project schedules.
- Contract Administration
- Review and manage supplier contracts and agreements.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Handle contract amendments and claims when required.
- Inventory and Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate with stores and logistics teams for material receipt and distribution.
- Monitor inventory levels for project-critical items.
- Ensure proper documentation for shipments and deliveries.
- Risk Management
- Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Manage alternative sourcing strategies for critical materials.
- Address supplier delays and shortages proactively.
- Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain procurement records and documentation.
- Prepare procurement status reports for management.
- Monitor procurement KPIs, budgets, and savings achievements.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure purchases comply with company policies and regulations.
- Verify that procured materials meet technical specifications and quality standards.
- Support audits and compliance reviews.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
