Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to oversee the company's accounting operations, taxation, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in import-export accounting, GST, TDS, statutory compliance, and financial planning. Experience in handling accounting for international transactions and coordination with auditors, banks, and government authorities is essential.
Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Management
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements.
Import-Export Accounting
- Handle accounting for import and export transactions.
- Record import purchases, exports, freight charges, customs duty, insurance, and clearing expenses.
- Verify Bills of Entry, Shipping Bills, Commercial Invoices, and other import-export documentation from an accounting perspective.
- Reconcile import-export transactions with vendors, customers, freight forwarders, and customs records.
- Manage foreign currency transactions and exchange gain/loss accounting.
- Coordinate with logistics and procurement teams for accurate financial recording of international shipments.
GST & Taxation
- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, Annual Returns, etc.).
- Reconcile GSTR-2B with purchase records.
- Ensure proper Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation.
- Handle GST assessments, notices, and departmental queries.
- Ensure compliance with GST regulations and amendments.
TDS & Direct Tax Compliance
- Deduct, deposit, and reconcile TDS under applicable sections.
- File quarterly TDS returns accurately and within statutory timelines.
- Issue TDS certificates to vendors and employees.
- Handle income tax-related reconciliations and compliance.
- Coordinate with tax consultants during assessments and audits.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Prepare annual budgets and department-wise financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget utilization and analyze variances.
- Provide MIS reports and financial insights to management.
- Support strategic financial planning and cost optimization initiatives.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, TDS, and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate statutory, internal, GST, and tax audits.
- Maintain proper financial documentation and statutory records.
- Ensure timely filing of all statutory returns.
Banking & Treasury
- Manage banking transactions and fund transfers.
- Coordinate with banks for import-export remittances, Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG), and foreign inward/outward remittances.
- Handle vendor and customer payment planning.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor the accounts team.
- Review accounting entries and financial reports prepared by team members.
- Establish internal financial controls and ensure process compliance.
Reporting & MIS
- Prepare monthly MIS reports for management.
- Present profitability, cash flow, budgeting, and financial performance reports.
- Analyze financial data and recommend process improvements.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles and Financial Reporting.
- Expertise in GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Hands-on experience in import-export accounting.
- Knowledge of foreign currency accounting and international trade transactions.
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills.
- Strong reconciliation and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
Preferred Software Knowledge
- Tally Prime
- ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent)
- Microsoft Excel (Advanced)
- MS Office Suite
Preferred Experience
- 6–10+ years of experience in Accounts and Finance.
- Prior experience in import-export, logistics, manufacturing, luxury interiors, furniture, or procurement industries is preferred.
- Experience handling statutory audits and taxation independently.
Pay: ₹19,851.85 - ₹60,831.84 per month
