Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and skilled QSR Chef with strong knowledge of Indian and South Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in high-volume food production, maintaining consistent taste and quality, and managing kitchen operations in a fast-paced QSR environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian and South Indian dishes while maintaining consistent taste, quality, and presentation.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of South Indian specialties such as Dosa, Idli, Vada, Uttapam, Sambar, Rasam, and various chutneys.
- Prepare and manage Indian cuisine, including North Indian and regional dishes as required.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen safety at all times.
- Manage food preparation efficiently during peak business hours and high-volume operations.
- Monitor food stock, ingredients, and daily preparation requirements to minimize wastage.
- Maintain proper portion control and assist in controlling food costs.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of food items as per hygiene standards.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely food service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen equipment and workstations.
- Assist in menu planning, recipe standardization, and introducing new Indian and South Indian dishes.
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff in food preparation and hygiene practices.
- Follow company policies and operational standards at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Chef in a QSR, restaurant, hotel, or similar food service operation.
- Strong practical knowledge of Indian and South Indian cuisine is essential.
- Good understanding of high-volume food preparation and QSR operations.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation standards.
- Ability to maintain consistency in taste, quality, and portion control.
- Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidates with experience in commercial kitchens or multi-outlet QSR operations will be preferred.
