Key Responsibilities Opportunity qualification & discovery Join client discovery calls to understand business drivers, current-state landscape, and success criteria Assess fit against Sage IT's practice capabilities and flag risks early Prepare discovery questionnaires and requirement-gathering artifacts Independently judge deal viability and shape an early point of view on win themes before looping in practice heads Win themes & deal strategy Independently develop win themes, competitive differentiation, and deal strategy for opportunities, escalating to practice heads or leadership only where genuinely needed Bring enough technical depth to engage credibly with client technical stakeholders and internal architects without needing constant handholding Judge, deal by deal, how much practice/architect involvement is required and pull the right people in at the right time rather than defaulting to full dependency Solutioning & architecture Partner with practice heads to shape solution approaches and reference architectures (Integration, Data, Cloud, AI – AWS, Azure, Microsoft Stack including D365, Power Platform, Boomi, data platforms, AI/agentic components), bringing enough technical depth to challenge, refine, and stress-test the approach Produce architecture diagrams, data flows, and integration blueprints for client and internal review Define implementation phasing, assumptions, dependencies, and out-of-scope boundaries Proposals, RFP & estimation Own RFP/RFI/RFQ responses end to end like compliance matrices, technical sections, differentiators Build first-cut effort estimates, resource models, and budgetary estimates, validating with delivery and practice leads rather than waiting on them to build it Draft SOWs, engagement approach documents, and Change Requests with delivery and commercial inputs Demos & POCs Build and present tailored demos, prototypes, and proofs of concept Translate technical capability into business outcomes for both technical evaluators and CXO audiences Client-facing communication Present and defend solutions and approach papers to stakeholders up to CIO/CTO level across NAM, AU, and ME Handle technical objections, clarification cycles, and orals/defense sessions Convert client conversations and transcripts into clear follow-up communications Practice & asset development Build and maintain reusable assets: solution accelerators, case studies, capability decks, estimation models Contribute to thought leadership content and partner/certification initiatives (Microsoft, Boomi, Anthropic) Maintain a pre-sales knowledge repository of past responses and win themes Building the India pre-sales practice Scale Sage IT's pre-sales function in India into a practice that can independently support deal cycles across NAM, AU, and ME Lead the presales/proposal writers’ team, set KPIs and drive the team’s performance against them Establish reusable playbooks, estimation frameworks, and win-theme libraries specific to the region and its geographies Represent pre-sales in conversations with regional sales and practice leadership; act as the counterpart geography leaders go to for pre-sales support Help define hiring needs and mentor future pre-sales hires in India as the practice grows Internal collaboration Work as a peer with practice heads, delivery leads, and account managers pulling support for solutioning depth and with regional stakeholders across NAM, AU, and ME to align solution, cost, and delivery feasibility Support smooth handover from win to delivery kickoff Track pre-sales metrics like pipeline supported, win rate, response turnaround
