Job Summary:
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer with hands-on experience in designing premium residential and commercial spaces. The candidate should have a strong understanding of space planning, interior detailing, materials, furniture, finishes, and design execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop creative interior design concepts based on project requirements and design briefs.
- Prepare space plans, furniture layouts, mood boards, material palettes, and design presentations.
- Create detailed interior working drawings, including furniture layouts, flooring layouts, reflected ceiling plans, wall elevations, and sections.
- Prepare detailed joinery, cabinetry, wardrobe, kitchen, and custom furniture drawings.
- Select and finalise materials, finishes, fabrics, wallpapers, lighting, furniture, sanitaryware, and interior accessories.
- Develop and review 3D visualisations and design presentations to communicate design concepts effectively.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, consultants, and site teams for smooth execution of interior works.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure execution is in line with approved designs, drawings, and quality standards.
- Review samples, mock-ups, materials, and finishes before final approval and execution.
- Assist in preparing BOQs, material specifications, and quantity requirements for interior works.
- Ensure designs meet the required aesthetic, functional, quality, budget, and timeline expectations.
- Stay updated with the latest interior design trends, materials, furniture, finishes, and technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
- 1–6 years of relevant experience in interior design.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and MS Office. Knowledge of 3D visualization/rendering software will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of interior materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, joinery, and execution techniques.
- Ability to prepare and understand detailed interior working drawings.
- Strong design sense, creativity, attention to detail, and visualisation skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- A strong interior design portfolio showcasing completed or ongoing projects is preferred.
