About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Executive to join our garment production team. The ideal candidate will have a background in fashion/garment technology and hands-on experience checking apparel for measurement accuracy, fabric quality, and overall finish before dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect garments at various stages of production (cutting, stitching, finishing, and pre-dispatch) to ensure they meet quality standards
- Check garment measurements against specification/tech pack and flag deviations
- Inspect fabric, stitching, trims, and overall construction for defects
- Calculate and verify fabric/trim consumption for garments
- Maintain quality checklists, inspection reports, and defect logs
- Coordinate with production and merchandising teams to resolve quality issues
- Suggest new product ideas, design improvements, or fit corrections based on quality observations
- Ensure compliance with buyer/brand quality standards (if applicable)
- Work with internal ERP/quality management systems to record and track inspection data
- Conduct random and final audits before shipment
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Fashion Designing, Garment Technology, or related field
- Prior experience working in a garment manufacturing unit is preferred
- Strong knowledge of garment measurement techniques and quality parameters
- Understanding of fabric/trim consumption calculation
- Familiarity with software/systems used for quality tracking or ERP entry
- Creative thinking and awareness of current fashion trends for product development input
- Good eye for detail and ability to identify defects quickly
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with production, cutting, and merchandising teams
Preferred Qualities
- Prior hands-on experience in a garment factory (stitching/QC/production floor)
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, ERP systems)
- Ability to work under deadlines during peak production/shipment periods
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
