Your future duties and responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced SAP Business Intelligence (BI) professional to lead and execute the SAP BI Data Services platform upgrade from version 4.3 to the 2025 release across multiple business towers. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in SAP BI/Data Services, strong upgrade and migration experience, and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition with minimal business disruption.
- Lead the end-to-end upgrade of SAP Business Intelligence Data Services from version 4.3 to SAP BI 2025 across multiple business towers.
- Assess existing BI/Data Services landscapes, integrations, and dependencies to develop comprehensive upgrade plans.
- Execute upgrade activities, including installation, configuration, migration, validation, and post-upgrade support.
- Perform impact analysis and identify risks associated with the upgrade process.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, database, application, and business teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Validate system performance, functionality, security, and data integrity following the upgrade.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during planning, execution, and post-deployment phases.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, upgrade procedures, and knowledge transfer materials.
- Ensure adherence to organizational standards, governance, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide status updates and recommendations to project leadership and stakeholders.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Deep SAP Business Intelligence and SAP Data Services expertise
- 8+ years of SAP BI experience
- Proven experience in SAP BI/Data Services upgrades and migrations
- Strong understanding of SAP BI 4.3 and BI 2025 architecture
- Experience with ETL, repository migration, and performance tuning
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
