- Supervise daily forging operations, including heating, forging, trimming, and related processes.
- Plan and allocate manpower, machines, dies, tools, and materials as per production requirements.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned time and quality standards.
- Monitor forging parameters such as temperature, pressure, stroke, cycle time, and die condition.
- Ensure proper setting and operation of forging machines, presses, hammers, and heating equipment.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, PPC, Die Shop, and Heat Treatment departments.
- Monitor rejection, rework, downtime, and production losses and take corrective action.
- Ensure proper inspection of components at different stages of forging.
- Maintain daily production reports, downtime reports, rejection reports, and shift handover records.
- Ensure proper handling and identification of raw materials, WIP, dies, tools, and finished components.
- Monitor die life and report die/tool-related issues to the concerned department.
- Strictly ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements, machine guarding, and safe working practices.
- Train and guide operators and helpers regarding machine operation, process parameters, quality, and safety.
