Following our continued growth, AtkinsRéalis is looking for enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Mechanical Engineers to support a variety of exciting projects, including Hinkley Point C (HPC), Sizewell C (SZC), Small Modular Reactors (SMR), and other nuclear projects.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates to gain hands-on experience in high-profile nuclear infrastructure projects. You'll be joining a friendly and rapidly growing MEP team within the Nuclear New Build (NNB) business.
As a Trainee Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting engineering teams in delivering high-quality HVAC and mechanical designs, including but not limited to:

Assisting in HVAC system design, including basic load calculations.

Supporting preparation of HVAC schematics, layouts, design calculations.

Learning and applying relevant industry standards such as CIBSE, ASHRAE, and SMACNA.

Support 3D model reviews using Navisworks.

Engage in continuous learning and professional development.

Software Skills (Preferred):

Basic knowledge of AutoCAD

Exposure to Revit / Navisworks is an advantage

Basic knowledge of MS Excel, POWER BI and engineering calculations.

Understanding of fundamental engineering calculations through academic learning.

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (B.E./B.Tech) from a recognized university.

Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of experience.

Basic understanding of HVAC and mechanical engineering fundamentals.

Strong willingness to learn and grow in the nuclear/MEP domain.

Good communication and teamwork skills.
