Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Social Studies to develop, review, and enhance high-quality academic content aligned with school curriculum standards. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in History, Geography, Civics, and Economics, along with experience in curriculum development, assessment creation, or classroom teaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review curriculum-aligned Social Studies content for Grades 6–10.
- Create engaging lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, question banks, and answer keys.
- Ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with CBSE, ICSE, or Maharashtra State Board guidelines.
- Research and update content based on the latest educational standards.
- Collaborate with academic teams, editors, and instructional designers to produce quality learning materials.
- Review and proofread educational content for factual accuracy and language quality.
- Support teachers with subject-related guidance and academic resources.
- Incorporate technology and AI tools to improve content development and productivity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Social Studies, Education, or a related field.
- B.Ed. is preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching, curriculum development, or academic content creation experience.
- Strong command of English (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
Skills Required
- Strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, Civics, and Economics.
- Curriculum planning and instructional design.
- Content writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Familiarity with digital learning platforms and AI-assisted content creation is an advantage.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with CBSE, ICSE, or Maharashtra State Board curriculum.
- Prior experience in publishing, EdTech, or academic content development.
- Experience creating assessments, worksheets, and educational resources.
