Position Summary
Spartek Group is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and strategic General
Manager – Finance to lead the Group's finance function across multiple
business verticals.
The role requires a commercially driven finance leader who can combine
financial discipline with business strategy to support the Group's expansion
into manufacturing, construction products, real estate, industrial flooring,
construction chemicals, and other building material businesses.
The GM – Finance will be responsible for corporate finance, business finance,
treasury, taxation, budgeting, MIS, banking relationships, fund raising, financial
planning, statutory compliance, internal controls, and strategic financial
decision-making across the Group.
The position will be based at the Corporate Head Office and work closely with
the Chairman's Office and business leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Financial Leadership
- Lead the complete finance function across all Spartek Group companies.
1• Develop and implement Group-wide financial policies and governance
frameworks.
- Drive financial discipline and profitability across all business divisions.
- Support business expansion through financial planning and capital
allocation.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Prepare annual budgets, business plans, rolling forecasts, and long-term
financial models.
- Monitor monthly business performance against budgets.
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop profitability analysis by business unit, product, customer, and
project.
Business Finance
Partner with various business verticals including:
- Industrial & Decorative Flooring
Provide strategic financial guidance to improve operational efficiency and
profitability.
Treasury & Banking
- Manage working capital and cash flow across the Group.
- Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Handle fund raising, term loans, working capital facilities, and project
finance.
- Monitor cash forecasting and liquidity planning.
- Optimize borrowing costs and financing structures.
Fund Raising & Investor Relations
- Support equity fund raising initiatives.
2• Prepare financial models for investors.
- Assist in investment proposals and due diligence exercises.
- Coordinate with private equity investors, financial institutions, and
strategic partners.
Financial Reporting & MIS
- Develop comprehensive monthly MIS reports.
- Present financial performance to the Chairman and MD.
- Prepare Board presentations and financial dashboards.
- Drive automation of financial reporting systems.
Cost Control & Profitability
- Implement cost monitoring systems across businesses.
- Improve margins through financial analysis.
- Develop project costing and product costing frameworks.
- Monitor capital expenditure and return on investments.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance

- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants,
and regulatory authorities.
Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Strengthen internal financial controls.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards.
- Monitor financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Drive periodic internal audits.
ERP & Digital Finance
- Lead finance process automation.
- Work with ERP teams to improve financial systems.
3• Develop real-time business dashboards.
- Improve reporting through digital tools and analytics.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the Group Finance team.
- Build a high-performance finance culture.
- Establish KPIs and performance review mechanisms.
- Support talent development and succession planning.
Candidate Profile
Education
- Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
- MBA (Finance) – Preferred
- CMA / CFA will be an added advantage
Experience
- 15–20 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior finance management position.
- Experience in manufacturing, construction materials, infrastructure,
engineering, or industrial businesses is highly preferred.
- Exposure to multi-company or group finance operations is desirable.
