Basant is a leading handicraft manufacturing company engaged in producing and exporting high-quality handcrafted products. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities and vendor coordination.

Purchase Executive
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and production-related items.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best quality and pricing.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and maintain procurement records.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, and Accounts departments for material requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Follow up with vendors regarding deliveries, quality issues, and payment coordination.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain vendor databases and procurement documentation.
- Ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays.
- Prepare purchase reports and MIS as required by management.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in Manufacturing or Handicraft Industry.
- Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP software.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory management and purchase processes.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Organized, proactive, and capable of handling multiple tasks.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Experience in handicraft, furniture, home décor, or manufacturing industries will be an added advantage.
