We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented GeM Sales Executive who has hands-on experience with the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) Portal and can independently generate business from government departments, PSUs, educational institutions, and other government organizations. The ideal candidate should not only manage GeM operations but also identify opportunities, connect with buyers, participate in bids, and convert opportunities into successful orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end operations on the GeM Portal.
- Search and identify business opportunities through GeM and other government procurement portals.
- Generate new government sales by approaching departments, institutions, and government buyers.
- Build relationships with government officials, procurement teams, and decision-makers.
- Prepare and submit bids, custom bids, reverse auctions, and direct purchase proposals.
- Create and maintain product catalogues, pricing, and specifications on the GeM Portal.
- Coordinate with OEMs for product approvals, technical compliance, and authorization letters.
- Prepare technical and commercial bid documents.
- Follow up with government buyers to convert enquiries into Purchase Orders (POs).
- Negotiate commercial terms and close sales.
- Coordinate with Sales, Accounts, Logistics, and Service teams for timely execution of orders.
- Track bid status, order execution, invoicing, and payment collection.
- Maintain MIS reports for leads, bids, orders, revenue, and pending opportunities.
- Stay updated with GeM policies, procurement guidelines, and market trends.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly government sales targets.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of the GeM Portal and government procurement processes.
- Experience in GeM bidding, reverse auctions, custom bids, and catalogue management.
- Proven ability to generate government business and close sales.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong follow-up and customer handling abilities.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work under deadlines and achieve sales targets.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
