Experience Required: 2–5 years in accounting, preferably in the Travel or Events Industry
About the Role:
We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Accountant to handle day-to-day accounting, invoicing, tax compliance, and reconciliation for our event and travel businesses. The candidate should have hands-on experience with Tally Prime, GST compliance, Excel Web Pro, and should be able to manage records efficiently for both weddings/events and travel verticals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Basic data entry and maintenance of accurate books of accounts
- Create and issue Proforma Invoices, Tax Invoices, and credit notes
- Manage accounts receivable and payable
- File and verify GST Returns (GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B) on time
- Conduct GST Reconciliation and match with GSTR-2B
- Maintain accurate records for TDS deductions, payments, and returns
- Generate reports and entries through Excel Web Pro
- Maintain vendor and client ledgers with proper tagging and GST classification
- Coordinate with CA for compliance and statutory audits
- Support monthly closing, documentation, and bank reconciliations
- Track advances, reimbursements, and event-wise profitability when needed
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting with management when required
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Tally Prime
- Knowledge of GST laws, returns, and reconciliations
- Working knowledge of Excel Web Pro (mandatory)
- Strong command of MS Excel for data sorting, VLOOKUP, and report generation
- Familiarity with TDS compliance and basic income tax provisions
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Should be comfortable working across both travel and events accounting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in Travel, Hospitality, or Events industry
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Good communication skills for coordination with vendors, clients, and internal teams
