Job Summary
Sri Lakshmi Automobiles World is looking for an experienced General Manager – Service Operations to lead and oversee the operations of six Ashok Leyland Authorized Service Centres. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence, service profitability, workshop performance, customer satisfaction, manpower development, and ensuring compliance with Ashok Leyland service standards across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the operations of 6 Ashok Leyland Authorized Service Centres.
- Drive workshop revenue, labour sales, spare parts sales, and profitability across all units.
- Monitor and improve workshop productivity, technician efficiency, and bay utilization.
- Ensure achievement of monthly business targets, KPIs, and OEM standards.
- Develop and implement service strategies to improve customer satisfaction (CSI) and reduce turnaround time (TAT).
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports and conduct performance review meetings.
- Monitor warranty claims, repeat repairs, and quality of service across all workshops.
- Coach, mentor, and develop Works Managers, Service Managers, Service Advisors, and Technical Teams.
- Ensure compliance with Ashok Leyland service processes, safety standards, and audit requirements.
- Coordinate with Spare Parts, Sales, CRM, and Administration departments for smooth business operations.
- Build strong relationships with fleet customers and key corporate clients.
- Identify business opportunities to improve service revenue and customer retention.
- Ensure effective cost control, budget management, and continuous process improvement.
- Travel regularly across all service locations to monitor performance and provide operational support.
Eligibility
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in Commercial Vehicle Service Operations.
- Mandatory: Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Works Manager in an Ashok Leyland Authorized Service Centre.
- Experience in handling multiple workshops or service locations will be an added advantage.
- Strong leadership, business management, customer relationship, and people management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of workshop operations, warranty systems, MIS reporting, KPIs, and OEM processes.
- Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems, and performance analysis.
- Valid Driving Licence is preferred.
