Job Summary
The IPD Manager is responsible for the overall management of the In-Patient Department (IPD), ensuring smooth patient admissions, quality patient care, efficient ward operations, and coordination among medical, nursing, Panchakarma, pharmacy, housekeeping, and support teams. The role focuses on delivering exceptional patient experience while maintaining operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and NABH standards.
Key Responsibilities1. IPD Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day functioning of all IPD wards.
- Ensure smooth admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
- Monitor bed occupancy and optimize bed utilization.
- Maintain efficient patient flow within the hospital.
- Ensure all departments coordinate effectively for patient care.
2. Patient Care & Experience
- Ensure high standards of patient care and comfort.
- Address patient and attendant concerns promptly.
- Monitor patient satisfaction and resolve escalated complaints.
- Ensure timely execution of treatment plans and therapies.
3. Team Management
- Supervise Nursing Staff, Ward In-Charges, Patient Relationship Executives (PREs), Panchakarma Therapists, Housekeeping, and Support Staff.
- Prepare duty rosters and manpower allocation.
- Conduct staff performance reviews and provide training.
- Ensure discipline, grooming, and professional behavior.
4. Coordination with Clinical Departments
- Coordinate with BAMS/MD Doctors regarding patient treatment.
- Ensure timely scheduling of Panchakarma therapies.
- Coordinate with Pharmacy for medicine availability.
- Liaise with Diagnostics and Laboratory teams.
- Ensure dietary requirements are communicated to the kitchen.
5. Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure complete patient documentation.
- Monitor medical records and IPD files.
- Maintain compliance with NABH and AYUSH guidelines.
- Ensure infection control and patient safety protocols are followed.
- Conduct regular departmental audits.
