- Design and development of power electronic circuits including:
- DC-DC converters
- AC-DC rectifiers
- DC-AC inverters
- Perform simulation and analysis using tools like MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or LTspice
- Selection and validation of power components (IGBTs, MOSFETs, diodes, magnetics, capacitors)
- Develop control algorithms for converters and motor drives
- Work on PCB design & layout considerations for high-power/high-frequency circuits
- Conduct testing, debugging, and validation of prototypes
- Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC, safety, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware, mechanical)
- Support system integration and troubleshooting
- Prepare technical documentation, design reports, and test procedures
- Strong knowledge of power electronics fundamentals
- Experience in:
- SMPS design
- Motor drives (BLDC/PMSM/Induction)
- Inverter and converter topologies
- Understanding of control techniques (PID, vector control, PWM techniques)
- Knowledge of magnetics design (transformers, inductors)
- Experience with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscope, power analyzer)
- MATLAB/Simulink
- PLECS / PSIM / LTspice
- PCB tools (Altium, OrCAD, KiCad)
- Embedded systems basics (C, microcontrollers, DSPs - added advantage)
- EMI/EMC standards
- Safety standards (UL, IEC)
- Bachelor//'s / Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Power Electronics Engineering
- Relevant certifications (optional but valuable)
