Telecaller initiates and receives telephone calls to promote products, generate sales leads, or provide customer support. They are responsible for communicating company offerings clearly, managing customer data, achieving targets, and maintaining professional, persuasive conversations to drive business growth. - Outbound Calling: Proactively calling prospective or existing customers to promote products, services, or set appointments.
- Inbound Support: Answering incoming calls to resolve customer inquiries, complaints, or questions regarding products/services.
- Lead Generation & Sales: Following up with leads, identifying customer needs, and closing sales deals over the phone.
- Data Management: Maintaining and updating the CRM database with accurate call notes, customer information, and follow-up actions.
- Target Achievement: Hitting daily, weekly, or monthly KPIs regarding call volume, lead conversion rates, or sales figures.
- Script Usage: Delivering prepared sales scripts to persuade potential customers to buy or upgrade. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and strong telephone etiquette.
- Persuasion: Ability to influence customers, handle objections, and negotiate effectively.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency and experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho).
- Education/Experience: Generally a 12th pass or graduate; 0–2 years of experience in telemarketing, telesales, or customer service.
