Key Responsibilities
1. Wax Inspection
- Inspect wax patterns for dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
- Check wax assemblies before shell building.
- Identify defects such as cracks, shrinkage, flash, distortion, and incomplete filling.
- Verify gate and runner locations as per drawing.
2. Die Inspection
- Inspect dies for wear, damage, and dimensional accuracy.
- Verify cavity dimensions before production.
- Ensure die maintenance records are updated.
- Report die defects requiring repair or modification.
- Coordinate with the tool room for corrective actions.
3. Casting Inspection
- Perform visual inspection of raw castings.
- Identify casting defects including:
- Blow holes
- Porosity
- Cold shuts
- Misruns
- Shrinkage
- Cracks
- Sand inclusions
- Surface defects
- Verify casting dimensions according to engineering drawings.
- Inspect gating and riser removal quality.
4. Dimensional Inspection
- Measure components using:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer
- Height Gauge
- Bore Gauge
- Dial Indicator
- Depth Gauge
- Thread Gauges
- Plug & Ring Gauges
- Surface Plate
- Ensure tolerances meet customer requirements.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
5. Process Quality Monitoring
- Conduct in-process inspections at different production stages.
- Verify adherence to SOPs and quality standards.
- Monitor process parameters affecting product quality.
- Prevent defective parts from moving to the next process.
6. Documentation
- Prepare inspection reports.
- Maintain quality records and check sheets.
- Record rejection data and defect analysis.
- Prepare NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) when required.
- Maintain traceability records.
7. Quality Improvement
- Participate in root cause analysis.
- Support CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions).
- Suggest process improvements to reduce rejection.
- Assist in implementing quality improvement projects.
8. Customer & Audit Support
- Support internal and external quality audits.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/IATF 16949 standards (if applicable).
- Assist during customer inspections and product approvals.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of investment casting processes.
- Understanding of wax pattern inspection.
- Knowledge of die inspection procedures.
- Experience in casting defect identification.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of GD&T.
- Familiarity with quality inspection tools.
- Basic knowledge of CMM inspection (preferred).
- Good documentation skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical ability.
- Attention to detail.
- MS Excel and quality reporting knowledge.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
