Role Overview
We are looking for a highly creative, experienced, and visionary Senior Event Designer who can lead the event design function from concept development to on-ground execution. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in luxury wedding and event design, spatial planning, theme conceptualization, venue styling, and client presentation.
This role requires an individual who can transform client requirements into extraordinary event experiences while managing design teams, vendor coordination, budgeting considerations, and execution excellence.
The Senior Event Designer will play a key role in elevating the creative standards of Kahani by delivering innovative, premium, and trend-forward event concepts.
Key Responsibilities1. Event Conceptualization & Design Leadership
- Lead the conceptualization and development of unique event themes, experiences, and design concepts.
- Create innovative event designs aligned with client vision, budget, and brand aesthetics.
- Develop mood boards, concept presentations, design proposals, and styling guidelines.
- Translate client requirements into visually compelling event experiences.
- Ensure all designs reflect premium quality and creativity.
2. Client Consultation & Presentation
- Attend client meetings to understand expectations, preferences, and event objectives.
- Present event concepts, layouts, themes, and design proposals confidently.
- Guide clients through design decisions and creative possibilities.
- Build strong client relationships through professional consultation and communication.
- Handle design-related discussions throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Venue Planning & Space Design
- Conduct venue recce and site evaluations.
- Create venue layouts, guest flow plans, stage designs, and spatial arrangements.
- Recommend styling opportunities based on venue architecture and event requirements.
- Ensure optimal utilization of event spaces while maintaining aesthetic appeal.
- Develop detailed setup and execution plans.
4. Design Development & Visualization
- Create detailed 2D and 3D visualizations for client presentations.
- Develop technical drawings, renderings, and design layouts.
- Prepare production-ready design documentation.
- Collaborate with production and execution teams to ensure accurate implementation.
- Ensure all creative deliverables meet quality standards and timelines.
5. Vendor & Material Management
- Source décor elements, floral concepts, props, furniture, and design materials.
- Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, florists, and production partners.
- Evaluate new materials, décor trends, and creative possibilities.
- Ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and negotiate design requirements.
6. Team Management & Creative Leadership
- Guide and mentor Event Designers, Junior Designers, and Interns.
- Review creative outputs and maintain design quality standards.
- Foster innovation and creativity within the design team.
- Collaborate with Client Servicing, Production, and Creative departments.
- Ensure efficient workflow and project coordination.
7. On-Site Event Execution
- Supervise event setup and styling execution.
- Ensure all design elements are executed according to approved concepts.
- Resolve on-site design challenges and make quick creative decisions.
- Coordinate with production teams for seamless event execution.
- Conduct final quality checks before event commencement.
8. Trend Research & Innovation
- Stay updated with global wedding, event, hospitality, and luxury design trends.
- Research innovative décor concepts, installations, floral trends, and experiential elements.
- Introduce fresh ideas and creative innovations to enhance client experiences.
- Continuously improve the company's creative offerings and design standards.

Education & ExperienceEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Event Design, Fine Arts, Spatial Design, or related field.
Experience
- 4–7 years of experience in Event Design, Wedding Design, Interior Design, Exhibition Design, or Experiential Design.
- Experience in luxury weddings and premium events is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in client-facing roles and concept presentations.
- Experience leading creative projects and mentoring design teams.

Compensation
Salary Range: ₹35,000 – ₹50,000 per month(Based on experience, portfolio quality, creative expertise, and leadership capabilities.)
