About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Mortgage Operations Analyst to support end-to-end mortgage processes including loan origination, processing, underwriting support, and closing. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of mortgage files.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process mortgage loan applications (Purchase, Refinance, HELOC).
- Validate borrower details including income, credit history, assets, and employment.
- Perform thorough document review and ensure completeness of loan files.
- Work on Loan Origination Systems (e.g., Encompass) for data entry and tracking.
- Support underwriting decisions by analyzing financial and credit documents.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Underwriters, Closers) and external vendors.
- Ensure adherence to US mortgage regulatory guidelines and compliance standards.
- Identify discrepancies and follow up for missing or incorrect documentation.
- Maintain productivity, quality benchmarks, and SLA adherence.
- Assist in post-closing reviews, QC checks, and audit processes.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline (Commerce/Finance preferred).
- 1–5 years of experience in US Mortgage (Processing/Underwriting/Servicing).
- Good understanding of the mortgage lifecycle (Origination to Closing).
- Strong knowledge of loan types: Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA.
- Experience with LOS systems like Encompass or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with income calculation, credit analysis, and document verification.
