Position Overview
RedPorch Nest Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to oversee the procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services. The ideal candidate should have experience in the construction industry and be capable of ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards and timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the procurement of construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
* Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
* Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate pricing and commercial terms.
* Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
* Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and Stores for procurement planning.
* Monitor inventory requirements to prevent shortages and delays.
* Ensure all purchased materials comply with project specifications and quality standards.
* Track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.
* Verify invoices, delivery notes, and procurement documentation.
* Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases.
* Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* 2–4 years of experience as a Procurement Engineer in the construction industry.
* Good understanding of construction materials, vendor management, and procurement processes.
Required Skills
* Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
* Knowledge of construction materials and market pricing.
* Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and ERP software (preferred).
* Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
* Strong organizational and documentation skills.
