About the Role
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented New Product Development (NPD) Specialist to drive innovation in packaging design and development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, testing, and implementing innovative packaging solutions, including bottle caps, cartons, boxes, and related packaging components. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance product functionality, sustainability, aesthetics, and market competitiveness.
Key ResponsibilitiesPackaging Innovation & Product Development
- Design and develop innovative packaging solutions aligned with consumer needs, market trends, and brand objectives.
- Improve existing packaging designs to enhance usability, appearance, sustainability, and cost efficiency.
- Generate creative concepts and convert them into commercially viable packaging solutions.
Prototyping & Testing
- Coordinate prototype development and product testing activities.
- Evaluate packaging performance for durability, functionality, safety, and quality standards.
- Recommend design modifications based on testing outcomes and user feedback.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing, Production, R&D, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure successful product launches.
- Support seamless integration of new packaging designs into manufacturing processes.
Market Research & Trend Analysis
- Conduct research on consumer preferences, industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
- Translate market insights into innovative packaging concepts and business opportunities.
Sustainability Initiatives
- Identify and implement environmentally friendly materials and packaging solutions.
- Contribute to the organization's sustainability goals through innovative packaging development.
Project Management
- Manage multiple packaging development projects simultaneously.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
Supplier & Vendor Management
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and evaluate new technologies.
- Assess technical feasibility and commercial viability of packaging innovations.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure packaging designs comply with applicable industry regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Required QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in Packaging Development, Product Development, Packaging Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with packaging design and innovation projects.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in packaging design software such as:
- SolidWorks
- ArtiosCAD
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and production techniques.
- Experience with prototype development and testing methodologies.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
