Role Overview
This position is with Placebo Gears & Transmission and is responsible for driving business development and sales growth across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for industrial gearboxes, gearbox servicing, spare parts, and transmission solutions. The Sales Engineer will independently manage key industrial accounts, develop new business opportunities, build relationships with plant maintenance and procurement teams, and drive the complete sales cycle from enquiry generation to order closure. The role offers significant customer-facing responsibility and direct exposure to leading industrial clients across Cement, Mining, Power, Sugar, Steel, and Port sectors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Sales
- Identify and develop opportunities across Cement, Mining, Power, Sugar, Steel, Ports, and allied industries.
- Conduct customer visits to understand application requirements, maintenance challenges, and replacement needs.
- Build relationships with maintenance teams, plant engineers, procurement teams, and key decision-makers.
- Generate enquiries, prepare techno-commercial proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and achieve order closures.
- Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline within the assigned territory.
2. Customer & Account Management
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and identify repeat business opportunities.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, and Operations teams for proposal development and order execution.
- Monitor deliveries, address customer concerns, and support service-related requirements.
- Follow up on payments and ensure adherence to commercial commitments.
3. Reporting & Market Intelligence
- Maintain records of customer visits, enquiries, quotations, opportunities, and orders.
- Submit regular sales pipeline, order status, and collection reports.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer requirements.
- Provide market feedback and business insights to support growth initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
- MBA in Marketing will be an added advantage.
- 6–8 years of experience in Industrial B2B Sales.
- Experience in technical sales, business development, and customer relationship management.
Preferred Industry Experience
Experience in one or more of the following:

- Industrial Maintenance & Service Solutions
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of industrial gearboxes, gears, couplings, and power transmission systems.
- Excellent customer relationship management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to independently manage sales cycles and achieve targets.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
- Fluent in Telugu, English, and Hindi.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Pay: ₹11,868.17 - ₹800,000.00 per year
