Purpose of the Role
To lead and manage end-to-end execution of engineering and manufacturing projects involving refrigeration systems, air dryers, chillers, air conditioning systems, compressed air treatment equipment, and related solutions. The role is responsible for ensuring successful project delivery within scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer requirements through effective planning, cross-functional coordination, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and operational excellence.
The position serves as the central point of accountability for project performance, driving collaboration across Engineering, Production, Procurement and Quality to achieve business objectives and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management (Primary Responsibility)
- Lead end-to-end project execution from concept approval through manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning, and project closure.
- Define project scope, schedules, milestones, budgets, resource requirements, and delivery plans.
- Develop and maintain project plans using MS Project and other project management tools.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Production, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, and Service to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor project progress against timelines, budgets, and KPIs and implement corrective actions where required.
- Manage project risks, dependencies, and change requests through structured review and mitigation processes.
- Conduct project review meetings and provide periodic status reports to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, contractual requirements, regulatory standards, and internal governance processes.
- Drive project profitability through effective cost control, resource utilization, vendor management, and scope management.
- Coordinate customer inspections, factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and final handover activities.
- Manage stakeholder communication with customers, consultants, government agencies, certification bodies, vendors, and internal teams.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve project execution efficiency, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction. Ensure timely development and modification of QAP (Quality Assurance Plan) as per the product and organization's need.
- Coordinate and ensure timely approval of the QAP and Drawings from the Industrial Consultants based on the Project requirements
Product Development & Engineering Oversight
- Provide technical leadership and guidance for development of refrigeration systems, air dryers, chillers, air conditioning systems, compressed air filters, and associated products.
- Review technical specifications, concept designs, engineering drawings, BOMs, and product documentation.
- Ensure engineering deliverables meet customer requirements, applicable standards, manufacturability, and quality expectations.
- Support prototype development, product validation, testing, and design release activities.
- Drive value engineering, standardization, reliability improvement, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Review and approve technical submissions, operating manuals, and project documentation before customer release.
- Support resolution of technical challenges during manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or related discipline.
- 7 to 10 years of project experience in refrigeration systems, HVAC, chillers, compressed air treatment systems, or industrial cooling equipment.
- Proven experience in project management, product development, manufacturing coordination, and customer-facing roles.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and execution methodologies.
- Extensive hands-on experience with MS Project 2016 including PERT, CPM, Baseline and variance tracking, Resource levelling, Change control, WBS, milestone tracking & status reporting.
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exposure to defence, industrial, process, or OEM projects will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of ASME, ISO, HVAC, and refrigeration standards are necessary.
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
