Job Description – Digital Textile Printing Manager
Job Summary
The Digital Textile Printing Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end digital textile printing operations, ensuring high-quality print output, maximum machine utilization, timely production, and cost efficiency. The role includes managing digital printing machines, color management, RIP software, fabric pre- and post-treatment processes, production planning, quality control, and team leadership while ensuring customer specifications and production schedules are met.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Execution
- Plan and manage daily digital textile printing production as per customer orders and production schedules.
- Ensure timely completion of printing jobs while maintaining quality and productivity.
- Monitor machine capacity, production efficiency, and order priorities.
- Coordinate with Merchandising, PPC, Sampling, and Dispatch teams for smooth production flow.
Digital Printing Operations
- Supervise end-to-end digital fabric printing processes.
- Ensure correct fabric loading, print settings, and machine calibration.
- Monitor print quality, color consistency, and registration accuracy.
- Minimize fabric wastage, ink consumption, and machine downtime.
- Troubleshoot printing defects and process-related issues.
Color Management & Design Coordination
- Manage color matching using ICC profiles and RIP software.
- Coordinate with the Design team to ensure artwork is print-ready.
- Ensure accurate reproduction of customer-approved designs and color standards.
- Maintain print quality across repeat production orders.
Machine Management
- Oversee operation and maintenance of digital textile printing machines.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
- Coordinate with service engineers for machine repairs and technical support.
- Optimize machine utilization and reduce breakdowns.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure printed fabrics meet buyer specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor print defects such as banding, color variation, misregistration, and ink bleeding.
- Coordinate with the Quality team for inspections and corrective actions.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rejection rates.
Inventory & Consumables Management
- Monitor stock levels of inks, chemicals, print heads, fabrics, and other consumables.
- Coordinate with the Procurement team for timely availability of materials.
- Maintain proper records of ink consumption and production costs.
Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise Digital Printing Operators, Color Technicians, Designers, and Helpers.
- Conduct regular training on machine operation, safety, and quality standards.
- Monitor team performance and productivity.
- Promote a safe and collaborative working environment.
Process Improvement
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Optimize production workflows to improve turnaround time.
- Reduce operational costs through efficient resource utilization.
- Introduce best practices in digital textile printing technology.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Monitor machine efficiency, production output, ink consumption, and wastage.
- Maintain production records, maintenance logs, and quality reports.
- Present MIS reports and performance metrics to management.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in the printing department.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of inks and chemicals.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Textile Engineering, Textile Technology, Printing Technology, Fashion Technology, or a related discipline.
- Certifications in Digital Textile Printing, Color Management, or Lean Manufacturing are an added advantage.
Experience
- 8–15 years of experience in textile manufacturing.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial role in digital textile printing.
- Experience in export-oriented textile or garment manufacturing is preferred.
Pay: From ₹400,000.00 per month
