Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Store Keeper with 5–10 years of experience in the building materials industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily store operations, maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring timely receipt and dispatch of materials, and coordinating with procurement and site teams to ensure smooth material flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the receipt, storage, and issuance of building materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock registers.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment.
- Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), material issue slips, and other store documentation.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of materials.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and project/site teams for material requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the store.
- Generate inventory and stock movement reports as required by management.
Requirements
- Experience: 5–10 years as a Store Keeper in the building materials, construction, or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and storekeeping procedures.
- Familiarity with construction materials such as cement, steel, pipes, electrical, plumbing, hardware, paints, and finishing materials.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory/store management software.
- Good organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in any discipline.
- Experience with ERP systems is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of inventory control, stock audits, and warehouse safety practices.
