About the Role
Chandigarh University is seeking a talented and passionate Punjabi News Writer to join its Media Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate, engaging, and impactful news content in Punjabi across digital, print, and multimedia platforms. The role requires excellent command of the Punjabi language, strong editorial skills, and the ability to cover current affairs, education, social issues, and institutional developments.
Job Responsibilities
- Research, write, edit, and publish high-quality news stories in Punjabi.
- Monitor daily news, trends, and current affairs relevant to Punjab and the education sector.
- Convert complex information into clear, concise, and reader-friendly content.
- Conduct interviews and gather information from credible sources when required.
- Ensure factual accuracy, language quality, and adherence to editorial guidelines.
- Coordinate with content, media, and digital teams for timely publication of news articles.
- Develop headlines, summaries, and social media captions in Punjabi.
- Maintain consistency in tone, grammar, and journalistic standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Prior experience in Punjabi news writing, journalism, reporting, or content creation.
- Strong understanding of current affairs, media trends, and news reporting practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Punjabi.
