Assistant Manager – MEP Projects

Job Purpose
To support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, monitoring, and executing MEP projects while ensuring timely completion, quality compliance, cost control, safety adherence, and effective coordination with clients, consultants, vendors, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Execution & Coordination
- Assist in execution of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, HVAC, and Utility works.
- Monitor daily project activities and ensure work progresses as per schedule.
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Ensure timely availability of manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Track project milestones and report deviations.
2. Planning & Monitoring
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Support project scheduling using MS Project/Primavera.
- Monitor productivity and identify execution bottlenecks.
- Follow up on action items from project review meetings.
3. Client & Consultant Coordination
- Attend project review meetings with clients and consultants.
- Coordinate inspections, approvals, and technical clarifications.
- Ensure timely resolution of site-related issues.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with stakeholders.
4. Commercial & Billing Support
- Assist in quantity verification and measurement of executed work.
- Support preparation of client RA bills and subcontractor certifications.
- Track variation orders, additional works, and change requests.
- Coordinate with commercial and finance teams for billing documentation.
5. Vendor & Contractor Management
- Monitor subcontractor performance and productivity.
- Coordinate material deliveries and vendor schedules.
- Ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
- Support vendor evaluations and performance reviews.
6. Quality Assurance
- Ensure execution complies with approved drawings and specifications.
- Conduct regular quality inspections.
- Monitor testing, commissioning, and punch point closure activities.
- Ensure proper documentation and record maintenance.
7. Safety & Compliance
- Enforce site safety requirements and Buildmyinfra safety standards.
- Participate in safety audits and toolbox talks.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and client safety guidelines.
8. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain project MIS, progress reports, DPRs, and MOMs.
- Track material consumption and resource utilization.
- Maintain records of drawings, approvals, and site instructions.
- Support preparation of project closeout documents.
9. Team Management
- Guide Site Engineers and Supervisors.
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor execution.
- Ensure effective communication between site and project management teams.
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Additional certifications in MEP Systems, Project Management, or Safety preferred.
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in MEP project execution.
- Experience in industrial, commercial, infrastructure, warehouse, or manufacturing projects preferred.
- Experience in handling site teams and subcontractors.
Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
