Key Responsibilities :
- Process monthly payroll accurately and within defined timelines.
- Verify attendance, leave records, overtime, shift allowances, incentives, and reimbursement data before payroll processing.
- Calculate salaries, bonuses, arrears, full-and-final settlements, and other employee payments.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including Provident Fund (PF), Employees' State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax (PT), Labour Welfare Fund (LWF), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), and other applicable regulations.
- Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, salary registers, bank transfer files, and statutory returns.
- Coordinate with Finance for salary disbursement, payroll accounting, and reconciliation.
- Handle employee queries related to salary, tax, deductions, reimbursements, and benefits.
- Maintain employee payroll records while ensuring confidentiality and data security.
- Support payroll audits by preparing required documentation and reports.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and internal controls.
- Assist in payroll system improvements, process automation, and implementation of HRMS/payroll software enhancements.
- Prepare periodic MIS reports related to payroll costs, headcount, overtime, and statutory compliance.
- Coordinate with HR Business Partners and department heads for employee master data updates, promotions, transfers, and separations.
- Stay updated with changes in payroll legislation, tax regulations, and labor laws.
