ob Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tendering Specialist to manage the complete tendering lifecycle, from identifying opportunities to bid submission and post-award support. The ideal candidate will have experience handling government and private sector tenders, preparing technical and commercial proposals, ensuring compliance with tender requirements, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to secure business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor government and private e-tendering portals such as GeM, CPPP, and other procurement platforms to identify relevant tender opportunities.
- Analyze tender documents, eligibility criteria, technical specifications, and commercial requirements.
- Prepare and compile complete technical and commercial bid documents, including:
- Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
- Compliance statements
- Cost estimates
- Supporting documentation
- Coordinate with Engineering, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and Sales teams to gather required information for bid preparation.
- Ensure all tender submissions comply with client requirements, statutory regulations, and company policies to prevent bid rejection.
- Manage the complete bid submission process, including:
- Earnest Money Deposit (EMD)
- Bid securities
- Digital signatures
- Online portal submissions
- Maintain accurate records of submitted tenders, deadlines, amendments, and supporting documents.
- Track bid status, respond to client clarifications, participate in pre-bid and post-bid discussions, and support contract negotiations where required.
- Stay updated on changes in procurement regulations, tendering procedures, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in tendering, bid management, procurement, commercial operations, or a similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of Indian e-tendering platforms such as Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and Central Public Procurement Portal (CPPP).
- Experience preparing technical and commercial bid documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly:
- Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, cost models, macros preferred)
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with government procurement and public sector tenders.
- Knowledge of contract documentation, procurement regulations, and bid compliance.
- Familiarity with ERP systems or procurement management software is an advantage.
