About the Role
We are a growing book publication house seeking a dynamic Field Sales Executive to drive the sales and distribution of our educational and general books across Hyderabad. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on face-to-face client engagement, enjoys building relationships, and has a passion for the publishing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for book materials across assigned territory
- Identify and onboard new institutional clients including schools, colleges, coaching centers, libraries, and bookstores
- Maintain strong relationships with existing distributors, retailers, and institutional buyers
- Conduct regular field visits, product demonstrations, and follow-ups across the assigned territory
- Coordinate with internal teams for timely order processing, delivery, and payment collection
- Gather competitor activity, pricing trends, and customer feedback; report to management
- Ensure timely recovery of outstanding payments and maintain healthy receivables
- Execute marketing campaigns, book fairs, and promotional events in the territory
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (B.Com / BBA / BA preferred)
- 1 to 3 years of experience in field sales, preferably in publishing, books, stationery, or FMCG distribution
- Must possess a two-wheeler with a valid driving license
Skills & Competencies
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a field role
- Excellent communication skills in English, Hindi, and Telugu
- Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel and CRM tools for reporting
- Familiarity with the education ecosystem (schools, colleges, coaching centers) is a strong plus
